Kathleen "Kitty" Ann (Scott) Higgins

KATHLEEN “KITTY” ANN HIGGINS, 93 of Sidney, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at 10:45 AM at her home. She was born on October 23, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Mark and Catherine (O'Malley) Scott. On July 23, 1960, she married Dennis Higgins who preceded her in death October 14, 1999.

Kitty is survived by three children: Patricia “Patti” Campbell of Sidney, Dennis (Charla) Higgins of Chelsea, MI, and Kevin (Leslie) Higgins of Sidney, one sister, Lucille “Lou” Laframboise of Chicago, IL, eight grandchildren: Kathleen “Katie” (Dustin) Fuston, Danielle (Creighton) Patrick, Rodney (Rachelle) Campbell, AJ Higgins, Moriah (Cory) Jolly, Kailey, Erin, and Leah Higgins, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother, Pat Scott, sisters: Lee Lange, and Mary Barron, granddaughter, Faith Campbell, son-in-law, Rodney Campbell, and brother-in-law, John Laframboise.

Kitty earned her bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in Chicago, IL and worked as an Executive Secretary. Later in life, after moving to Sidney, she enjoyed her life as a homemaker. She also enjoyed playing golf at the Piqua Country Club and playing in a bridge group. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney Moose Lodge, Senior Center, and Book Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church. A Private Committal Service will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
